Engineering Apprenticeship Qualifications
Assessment
The apprentice must achieve the following on-programme assessment requirements prior to Gateway:
Level 1 English and Maths'
Apprentices without Level 2 English and Maths will need to achieve this level prior to taking their end point assessment.
Ofqual regulated Level 2 Diploma in Engineering Operations (Skills)
Ofqual regulated Level 2 Certificate or Diploma in Engineering Operations (Knowledge)

There are a broad range of roles for an Engineering Operative. You could progress to being a Senior Operative or Crafts person with experience as an Operative, you could move on to study a level 3 Engineering Technician qualification to become a Technician. You could then move in to a Team Leader or Project Management role.
Assessment
The apprentice must achieve the following on-programme assessment requirements prior to Gateway:
English and Maths and Level 2
Portfolio of evidence
Level 3 Diploma in Food and Drink Engineering Maintenance

You could do further training while you work, to become an engineering technician or site supervisor. You could also qualify as an engineer by completing a relevant degree in engineering, such as the Food and Drink Advanced Engineer Integrated Degree Apprenticeship.

The Institution of Engineering and Technology for Engineering Technician (EngTech). The experience gained and responsibility held by the apprentice on completion of the apprenticeship will either wholly or partially satisfy the requirements for registration at this level.
The Institution of Mechanical Engineers for Engineering Technician (EngTech). The experience gained and responsibility held by the apprentice on completion of the apprenticeship will either wholly or partially satisfy the requirements for registration at this level.

Level 3 Diploma or Extended Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Development Knowledge)
